Alessandro was born and raised in northeastern Italy. His creative journey began through modeling, a career that took him across Europe, Asia, and North America and sparked a deep curiosity for cultures and visual storytelling.
Since 2008 he has worked in China as a freelance camera operator and editor, producing adventure travel projects, corporate projects, time lapse photography projects. He also contributed to video installations at the Italian Pavilion of the Shanghai World Expo 2010 and worked worked as zone camera operator for the AMAZING RACE: China Rush II broadcasted on ICS, Dragon TV and CCTV-9 international.
More recently, he worked as camera assistant on the short film Resonance, shot in Tuscany, Italy in 2024.
In 2014 he embarked on a solo cycling journey along the Silk Road from Shanghai to Venice, riding more than 16,000 km across seventeen countries. The experience became the documentary Don't Forget to Smile screened at several film festivals and awarded the Bike Shorts FIAB Prize at Siciliambiente 2017.
He later studied cinematography at the Scuola Nazionale di Cinema Indipendente in Florence, Italy specializing in cinematography and color grading.
Alongside filmmaking, Alessandro has cultivated a lifelong passion for music and has been DJing and collecting records since 2008.
