Silk Road Cooking

The 25th of April 2014 I set off in one that would become the greatest adventure of my life. After living and working in Shanghai for more than eight years i decided to go back to Italy by bicycle. It took me one year to fullfill my dream and after cycling for more than 16000 Km and crossing twenty countries I reached home in Italy.
During my journey, specially for the first part of China which is heavily industrialised, I was often eating at random restaurants located at the outskirts of major cities, along the roads with heavy fully loaded trucks transporting any sort of goods. The idea was to document something that will be soon wiped out by one of the fastest growing economies in the world and its modernity.
